The 2013 Reunion has come and gone! There were approximately eighty Crew
Members in attendance throughout the event. It was the consensus of opinion of
those who participated that the inaugural talent presentation should be an integral part
of future Reunions.
Highlighting these performances was Hailey Sandoz, who simply shined like a blazing
star! Hailey demonstrated her talents in Irish Step Dancing and playing of the Irish
Fiddle. Those of us who were in attendance were amazed at her capabilities! Thank
You Hailey Sandoz for taking time out of your personal agenda to entertain us all!
It is our intention to upload an on-line survey form for all Crew Members to provide
their input for the next “Sand Lance” Reunion location and time of year. Upon
calculation of the majority of the responders, a selection will be determined and
announced.
In addition to Hailey Sandoz, we had Force Master Chief Cash Caldwell of the Pacific
Fleet and Captain George “Bud” Baker, Captain USN Ret. Perform with style and
abilities few of us knew anything about. We all were pleasantly entertained and totally
enjoyed the efforts of these gifted individuals. During a break in the action, Bruce
Fuller dazzled us with some “Johnny Cash” style tunes and Jerry Brock finally gave in
to some prompting from the floor and demonstrated that his acoustical guitar abilities
were something to be totally enjoyed by all!

We will again be posting to multiple Submarine Web Sites and Magazines. Please pass
the word to your shipmates and also help us locate any crew members that are listed
but not attending or unlisted on the Reunion Email Listing or "Web Site", and compare
those to the list of tentative participants, if your shipmate is not listed then help us to
help you locate that individual and get them to this reunion.
